Starting With Baby Steps...

It can be intimidating when you’re taking a first step. Seeing a new path ahead of you, all kinds of doubts and fears start to creep up in your mind. Will this work? Will I be successful? What can I expect?
Well, I’m taking my first steps back to a fit life! I’m not looking to be the “perfect size” or have a “perfect journey.” To be completely honest, I don't enjoy working out (but hold on, I'll get there!).  I just want to be a better version of myself. Being a business owner, a wife, a mother, as well as having a full-time job, it doesn’t really feel like I have any TIME to think about getting fit.  However, I’ve learned that it’s not about having time, it’s about making time – and I’m finally ready! I hope that my blogs will be a witness to you that you’re not alone. No matter where you are on your fitness journey, no matter how well you've stuck with your plans, you have someone that is cheering for you to “do your best” and “never quit!”

What is keeping you from the lifestyle you desire?  It is not your children or your spouse.  It is not your parents or co-workers.  It is not your culture or job.  It is you.  You determine your lifestyle.  The power is in your hands.  This is where your journey starts; with you. 

You have the power to change.   It is not about creating some workout plan that adds more stress to your already stressful life.  It is about asking yourself. 

What do I really want?  What will make me happy?  What can I do right now? 

Life is a journey and on the journey we pick up habits and routines that make us comfortable and keep us from living the life we want to live.  We forget how fun it is to discover new things!

Whatever you have done in the past does not have to determine what you can do now.  Changing your lifestyle can be uncomfortable and painful but it is also rewarding and exciting.  It is not about anyone giving you a plan to follow.  You carry your plan in your heart.  Be empowered to follow your heart.  For true health starts inside of you. 

The best way to good health is your way. ​
